I wanted this cake to look as if it was wrapped in lace and then tied with a ribbon in the front, almost like being clothed. I made some white cake lace and then airbrushed it with edible lustre paint in snowflake. Because its such a dressy design it didnt really need much more, so I made a single Stargazer Lily in sugar, dusted the flower with edible dusts and sprayed lightly with lustre to get it to shimmer. A few curled shocking pink wires (non edible!) were added into the posy pick to keep the wires away from the vanilla cake inside. A pretty in pink 60th birthday cake.
