I wanted to answer all the questions I got about my Christmas tree - TopicsExpress

I wanted to answer all the questions I got about my Christmas tree drapes. Yes, I made them. I simply drew on graph paper until I had a tree I thought would work. In my case, for the size of my windows, I cut 3.5 squares (finished 3). A bit over a thousand of them. The numbers on the sides are my counting, how many white, and how many green etc. I also have a paper for the right side. The shadowing you see is the seams during daylight hours. That is the reason I did not hide a small string of lights between the lining and the front, as I thought the wires would look terrible during the day, and would add weight. I also think they might not hang evenly then. When it is not Christmas, they hang on a small rod behind the door of a spare bedroom--those are the year round drapes that are in the picture. I just cover the top with a bag to keep dust off. The last picture is the ornaments. That is a nickel to see perspective, and they are done yo-yo style with fabric my daughter in law found. I think I will also add sequins to act as lights. I am astounded at all your kind comments and thoughts. Thank you so very much. Please feel free to make your own trees! and send or post pics when you do!!!
