I wanted to do some quick sketching practice with the felt markers. Get used to the feel of them on paper again. Thought Id illustrate the impossible archery shot. The English have their version of the impossible shot, split the first arrow with a second as shown, supposedly done by Robin Hood. The one I show here is our legendary impossible shot. Ive tried it several times with different gear because you should try the impossible every once in awhile to see how close you can get. Closest I ever got was about an arrow length away. My buddy Dave missed by about two inches once. A bigger bow gives you more time to reload and aim, but the modern bows can shoot an arrow out of sight if theyre turned up too high. About a 30 pound double recurve seems to work best. A whole lotta walking to get the arrows back!
