I wanted to enter my Moms Beef Stew in Bears in the Kitchen. Hi, bears! My name is Manny and Im Matts husband and partner of almost 17 years. Today, I was home, and I wanted to surprise him with a great pot hardy beef stew. Not fancy, but full of love! This is my entry and contribution. Beef Stew with Carrots & Potatoes -Start with Chuck roast. Cut into pieces and season with salt and pepper. -Brown the meat in a good size pot. -Add onions, celery, parsley, Balsamic vinegar, and a robust, red wine to create a thick luscious sauce. -Add water, stock, garlic, and cover with a lid and braise in the oven for two hours. -Afterwards, remove from oven and add the vegetables. Add carrots, potatoes, and more celery . Add some flour to thicken the juice. Cover and place over a low flame for another hour. VOILA!!! Perfect dish for two hungry bears! Enjoy! Chest hair nets and splash guard were used in the preparation of this dish. No bears were harmed! LOL!
