I wanted to post about my buddy Brandon today as he hit his 1 year mark since his injury. Brandon has suffered a T3 injury. Brandon was given a 1% chance of walking again from his Doctors. But regardless of how small, or how big or no percentage there is our goal is to get back up and walking. And we will. We are going into our 3rd month together and when Brandon came in he had no movement in his legs. The only thing happening for him were the very aggressive spasms. After about a month we started to get movement back in his legs. After a month and a half later Brandon can now initiate each movement in his legs and he can contract the proper muscle groups to execute the movements we are working on. Here is a video of his progress from last week. Note; If you listen closely I have Brandon call out each individual leg before engaging it in the proper movement to demonstrate how his nervous system responding and regaining function! Enjoy!
