I wanted to post an update on my brother Greg for those who have been thinking and praying for him. I know its hard to Missy to reach out to so many who have been concerned. As you may know in June, Greg had a tumor removed on the side of his calf. The pathology report from that tumor identified a malignant triton tumor which a specific form of a malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor – an extremely rare form of cancer. In addition to his surgeries and treatments this summer/fall, he had surgery on Tuesday and again today to remove surrounding tissue and lymph nodes. Greg’s physician remains optimistic that they have removed all tissue that may be suspicious. They are hoping to have pathology reports on Monday. If the report shows clear margins, Greg will have a skin graft surgery to close his original surgical site. Thank you all for your concerns and for keeping Greg and Missy in your prayers.
