I wanted to post my response to some great ideas about how to spread the story. Some people have suggested something like the ice challenge. When I developed the CARAVAN TO CATCH A KILLER tours and the WRAP , I thought it would be a hook, as I have gained up to 100000 miles through 46 states, I thought that might be different enough. . Every reporter of the 128 local reporters have said, Of course national news has covered this right? I tell them no. They say they cant believe that. . At times I feel ...god what more do I have to do. But I get tired and sad and feel like I stand on a solitary hill when even my CARAVAN tours get little response. I continue to write email call 48 hours, Unsolved mysteries , ID, Paula Zahn, Dateline, Americas most wanted, all the prime morning and evening shows etc etc ---probably each about 20-30 times in the last 10 years.. I get no response or am told we are not their type of story????? This is why I ask others to send national news an email about us. Sometimes national media acts as if the story is suspect if family is the only one writing about it. Im told they wonder how real is it, or is it important when only family seems interested. Local news has done 128 stories in the last 7 years. I used to get 13-17 stories each time I went out. The last 2-3 have been at most 6-8. Money, time off to do it and once out, the time is limited. When I am out though is the best time for anyone to contact national. Sorry I had to vent some of the loneliness of this path, some of the sadness I confront. I do and then I move on. Back to thinking of others and how to save lives and solve my daughters murder Keep coming with the ideas!!!!!!
