I wanted to say that the death of Robin Williams moved us all so greatly. And if anything beautiful can come out of it, is that it has opened up dialogue about the realness of illness of depression. The thing about the illness of Depression, is that it is not tangible , that you can see, like cancer or any other illness. Therefore people feel embarrassed to talk about it, but its a real thing for people who suffer from it, whether it is passed down genetically, or acquired over the years. I urge people to continue to keep talking about it....to keep sharing knowledge on it. To not be embarrassed for it. Below is a TED TALK that someone shared, that allowed me to learn sooooo much about what depression feels like. It gave me a window to understand some of my closest friends , one that I lost from suicide. Because of her depression.
