I wanted to share The Lovers on the Bridge, which is one of my favorite movies, but none of the trailers were very good so Im going with Holy Motors instead. Writer/Director Leos Carax is a one-of-kind mad genius. His latest, Holy Motors, is easily his weirdest film. Its also his most fun. This is a movie that never stays within one genre for very long. The enigmatic story concerns a man, played by Caraxs onscreen alter-ego Denis Lavant, whose job is apparently to spend his days and nights playing various roles and characters. As he switches characters, the film switches tone. We go from drama to comedy to musical to gangster thriller and everywhere else! This movie has to be seen to be believed.
