I wanted to share another hero of mine, Adam Upton. He had lost 180 pounds, had the skin removed and went on to become a bodybuilder as well. Crew, I have no excuses. So many people have done this before!! Its going to happen! ------ Ive received a lot of emails lately regarding my skin...In 2012, after losing around 180lbs I was left with over 14 of loose skin. Aside from it being a cosmetic issue (and the fact that I felt I had come so far only to still be uncomfortable in my own [excess!] skin), it began giving me all kinds of problems. Having to wear a duty belt at work with 30+ pounds of gear on it every day began to become a serious problem. The loose skin around my hips would bunch up and the constant rubbing began to give me sores and blisters. I finally decided to have a Circumferential Body Lift (known as a full body lift). The recovery was brutal...literally the absolute worst pain Ive ever experienced in my entire life. I was out of work for 6 months...I came home with two drain tubes that would end up staying in for over 2 weeks. I had over 2,000 stitches around my waist. It would be months before I could bend one way or the other without feeling like I was going to rip apart! I went months without being able to lie flat and I slept sitting upright. I had to use a walker to walk and couldn’t move about without significant help. Although it was the worst experience Ive ever endured, 3 years later now, I can tell you with certainty it was the best decision I ever made! My bodybuilding career, my personal happiness and my general health would not be what it is today without it. A lot of people who make transformations always try creams, lotions, wraps, etc in hopes that their excess skin will just go away. Folks, its not that easy. There was nothing that could shrink the 14 inches of hanging skin I had. I was the same way...I tried body wraps, collagen lotions 3x day, you name it. After a certain point (depending on your total overall lose), surgery will be your only option! Do your research, be smart about it and hit me up with any questions! #TheTransformer
