I wanted to share some exciting news of one of my past students who attended my caricature figure drawing class. Next one begins Jan 14th. Achieving what is is you truly want in your career is just as much about having the right philosophy as it is skill. They have to balance each other. David Calcano was dedicated, hard working and it is paying off. Hi Stephen, I hope all is well, I hope you still remember me :) although I’m definitely not a star student, I attended the very first session at your wonderful school. I wanted to share some news, my latest animated animated short opened for Mr. Big in a huge tour in Japan, including the BUDOKAN (20K people!) An unbelievable experience, the guys of the band also hired me to create their visuals for the concerts. After many years doing Fantoons, this has been unbelievable, I couldn’t help to remember the perseverance board on the school :) Yesterday, I released online and was picked by Cartoonbrew! Also Jerry beck shared on Cartoon Research… I’m a bit blown away, and this is probably nothing compared to many people’s brilliant accomplishments… but I’m so happy! and I wanted to share the short with you: youtu.be/gGk-3RLz5Jk See you at school soon… Cheers, David
