I wanted to share something MY HUSBAND Derek wrote.... February 2013, or so my wife says, I am late as usual coming home from work. Dusty calls me to tell me she is going to a meeting to talk about a multi-level marketing opportunity. My response to her is if you like the products use them, but whatever you do, do not sign up to sell them. I felt like it was a waste of time, energy, and money that were in short supply as we are raising 2 children and both are jobs take a lot out of us. At this point I was stressed, she was stressed and adding more to our plate was not comprehensible. Guess what, she did what she wanted to do, I know this never happens in any other marriages, but it did in ours. Dusty let me digest the fact that she signed up against my superior pessimistic outlook, then she signs me up too! Let me tell you I’m very uneasy at this point, I take a few breaths and let her have it, IN MY MIND. After I calm down, I listen to the business part of all this and realize we can’t lose a lot of money so why not support her and see what happens, while still hanging on to the pessimism in the back of my mind. Dusty and I cruise along taking the products, we start losing weight, having more energy, and generally feeling better, physically and mentally. A diabetic family member starts taking it and falls in love with the pink drink and returns to a normal lifestyle of enjoying normal food. Then comes time for my DOT physical, September I think, I have a CDL license that has been my way of making a living and a very unhealthy profession and my blood pressure has been a nontreated issue with me, when the nurse said 120/79 I almost asked her to take it again. I have normal blood pressure while taking the fab 4. This stuff works, my hardheaded, pessimistic, male superiority mind changed that day in the doctor’s office, it only took me 6 months because that’s how I roll, this is the only time I’ve ever been wrong. October 2013, my lovely entrepreneurial intelligent wife, goes off to Florida for a Plexus Leaders Retreat in Florida as a Senior Ruby. She came back and told me for the next 90 days she is going to put all she had in to Plexus, and she did. Let me tell you I was soccer mom, house wife, and I worked a full time plus some job. She did not let anything slow her down for 90 days, no looking back, what if’s, or doubt of any kind everything was forward looking, she even quit her day job to get this done. She put more into it than I have ever seen from her EVER. While money motivates, she had immense satisfaction from seeing people get their health back. While I was tired and run down, the success and happiness she was finding in her new venture made it all worth it. At the end of her 90 days she was nearly Sapphire and did get there in February, a year after signing up with Plexus. Let me tell you, Dusty had a positive outlook on this from the beginning but I didn’t and I would remind her of it occasionally. I was as hardheaded as anyone about the MLM part of this business until it was proven to me in the doctor’s office that this stuff is the real deal. Dusty has gotten where she is by hard work, but also in large part to the fact that she knows the products, and feels passionate about their results. It is not in her nature to stand up in front of everyone and host a meeting, but she put all that aside and once she did it, she got comfortable doing meetings. Now she craves meetings, and continues to grow her business. She started out as a normal mom, working a normal job, raising normal kids, with a hardheaded husband. Through Plexus she has grown personally, professionally, and has gotten healthy while helping others to be healthy as well. In my opinion she is learning skills that will help her anywhere. Being involved in Plexus myself, I see all the posts where doubt is the only thing holding a person back, doubt in theirselves mostly, because the products are awesome. I’m here to tell you, if Dusty can do it so can you, she didn’t have any special skills or education when she started, she had a fire inside her to help other people, and a supportive family??, the financial part is definitely a bonus. As I ride around in her Plexus Lexus, she lets me drive if I‘ve been good, I think about what would have happened if she would have listened to her all knowing husband and not signed up? The answer, NOTHING. Absolutely nothing would have happened. We’d go along just like before, with more month than money and unhealthy. I am not saying to do whatever you want no matter what your spouse says, I wanted to tell you our story. Dusty got to Sapphire a year later because she made her mind up, she held meetings (as many as she possibly could, remember the movie Mr. Mom?) without letting excuses get in the way, she learned the products, knows the testimonies, and did not let pessimism or negativity invade her mind, which is no easy feat for anyone. My point is Plexus is set up for ambassadors to succeed and promote health, without having to be a natural sales person, if you want to do, you can. Find your motivation, there are plenty to choose from, money, Lexus, health, or visiting with friends on Facebook for a living. Whatever it is make your mind up, learn the products, make posts, and hold meetings. The more people you get in front of the more you will sign up.
