I wanted to share something with you. Its nothing too amazing, but it just struck me so take from this what you will. I have been doing this silly little hobby since I arrived at university in 1994. Thats 20 years. In that time I have stood in a valley with 12 sworn sword brothers and sisters defending a village from invaders in a 13 player vs 50+ crew Thirteenth Warrior LRP. I have fought Nazi super soldiers in 1940s Belgium using only my occult knowledge, my boyfriends killer instincts and a group of brave souls with more bullets than sense. I have helped save the world from psychic monkeys in weaponised satellites, and stopped mad geniuses from using steampunk technology to cause whales to destroy the Royal Naval Fleet. Ive seen things you people wouldnt believe, to quote a replicant I once knew. And after 20 years you know what? Last weekend gave me the actual, genuine fear. I was scared, and nervous at several points through the game. Why share this? Because its a good thing. Right when I thought I had seen it all and done it all along you all came and told me different. Bravo.
