I wanted to share this with all of you. George Koonce asked me if - TopicsExpress

I wanted to share this with all of you. George Koonce asked me if I would say some positive words to a young man having some difficulties in his life. The following words, inspired by only the will to help this young man, made me realize that in writing this to young man, I was realizing that I should have been the one reading them. The following words changed my entire perspective on my own issues these days. Hopefully they will inspire you all as well. Hello Kareem My name is Dale Decker, and I was just speaking to George Koonce and he was telling me a little bit about how down you have been recently. So I thought Id share a few words with you. If you Google my name, dale decker, you will find a lot of stories about me that have come into the worldwide media in the past week. Its been a whirlwind of emotion. Some of the comments on the stories are very uplifting. But some of the others... Some of the comments are rude, cruel, vile, hateful, disgusting and just plain evil. I made the mistake of reading some of them. I shouldnt have ever have done that. Those words will never leave my memory for as long as I live. Some were so evil they have given me nightmares. It has been, by far, the hardest thing I have ever gone through in my life. But lost in all of this negativity and depression and sadness is the purpose of why I Did the documentary in the first place... to make my life better. To find a cure. To be able to provide for my family. In the end, no matter what anyone says about anything, the purpose remains. Life is full of lessons. Words spoken by those of great and little significance will echo throughout or minds for as long as we live. Some will be good. Some will be bad. Some words and events will be sad. Some will hurt. Some will be overwhelmingly painful. And time and understanding will heal most of those. Some may stick. But the lessons of all of it can be astounding once comprehended. When we understand that positive words and events can change peoples lives... and so can the bad... we can begin to understand how to use all of them to get better. To make us stronger. Tougher. More durable. Sturdier. More well rounded. More balanced. People say and do a lot of things. Many bad things happen to us in life. Many bad things can be said. But when you decide to use it all for motivation towards YOUR purpose, you become invincible. And from what I hear, you, my friend, are invincible. #DeterminationIsKey Have a great night. And a better tomorrow. Every tomorrow. Sincerely, Dale Decker
