I wanted to share this with you folks because the argument here is so terribly bad. I commented directly on the video, but I want to share my rebuttal with you here as well. Heres what I said: This is nothing but an old fool making a philosophical case based on his own ignorance, or an argument from incredulity. He offers nothing definitive at all. Furthermore, he states that the universe reflects mathematical structures but this is absolutely false. The reality is that mathematical structures are human concepts which reflect the universe and what we already see there. One cannot develop a way of quantifying what he sees and then say that the object which he observe then reflects the very thing HE HIMSELF invented to explain what he saw. The object, be it a physics constraint such as gravity or any other constraint or natural law, exists regardless of the terms we use to quantify them. Therefore we cannot say that the universe represents our mathematical structures, but rather must understand that those structures reflect a universe that exists regardless of the structures we invent to describe them. In short, hes put the cart before the horse. #Casper
