I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the life of my grandfather - TopicsExpress

I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the life of my grandfather Clarence Battle who passed away yesterday evening. At 90 years old, hes gone on to join my grandmother Pastor Marie Battle. As our family gathers together I cant help but smile (and cry) thinking about the legacy hes left. With less than an 8th grade education, he arose from nothing to create one of the most profitable moving companies (Battle Transfer) in Raleigh, NC. Many dont know but my entrepreneurial inspiration comes from watching him provide for 3 generations of Battles. I remember how he taught me how to take simple products that nobody wanted, like furniture, refurbish it and resell it for profit. Im not posting for Likes or pity. Just want to celebrate the greatest Entrepreneur, Grandfather and Father Ive known. Im looking forward to unapologetically continuing his legacy of entrepreneurship because he showed me how a simple idea can provide freedom for so many families. If you’ve met him, and want to join us in celebrating his life, the funeral is: Monday, December 22 at 12:00PM (Viewing at 11:30AM) Lea Funeral Home 2500 Poole Road, Raleigh, NC
