I wanted to wait until I got back home to post these pictures. As part of our Wreaths Across America - Official Page retreat this weekend we were able to tour Worcester Wreath Co. We were able to see how the wreaths are made. We were also taken on a tour of the balsam tree farm. We were shown how the trees are tipped (harvested). These tips are used to create the bouquets for the wreaths. The trees are harvested in rotation every three years. We were given the opportunity to tag a tree in honor or memory of a family member/veteran. We had to submit our information in advance so our dog tag could be made. As you can see, I chose to honor the members of Operation Red Wings........Mike Murphy, Dan Healy, Matt Axelson, James Suh, Shane Patton, Danny Dietz, Erik Kristensen, Mike McGreevy, Jacques Fontan, Jeff Lucas, Jeff Taylor, Steven Reich, Chris Scherkenbach, Corey Goodnature, James Ponder III, Marcus Muralles, Mike Russell, Shamus Goare, Kip Jacoby and Marcus Luttrell. Every three years the tips from their tree will be used to make the wreaths that are placed on veterans graves....not only in Arlington, but all over the country. I hope this gives you a little comfort and fills your hearts with love. Please share with those I havent yet connected with. All my love, appreciation and gratitude..........
