I was 14 when I first read Lewis Carrolls Alices Adventures in Wonderland, and ever since Ive been lost in that world. I fell in love with the nonsense tale, found my attachment to the Cheshire Cat, memorized The Jabberwocky poem by heart, and did my best to always stay curious. When elecTRONica ended I was devastated to close The Grid. It had been my home at Disney, and my gateway into the Magic Kingdom. But when I found out that The Mad T Party would be taking its place I have to admit, I was ecstatic. I was a dorky little fangirl, and my dreams were about to come true. But when the Rabbit Hole first opened it wasnt my time yet. I wasnt chosen to join the party, and my heart broke. Really broke. In the way only a feely fangirl can understand, hahaha. But that didnt stop me from being there on opening day and reluctantly loving everything I saw. I remember watching the House of Cards and getting so hyped from my friends on that stage, and I remember singing along with the Mad T Party band when the Flos girls and I ran to Hollywood Blvd. during our lunch break. And I remember working hard to earn my invitation to Wonderland. A year later that invite came, and I knew I had to hold on to it with relentless vigor. Every chance I could Id take the stage, give it everything I had, and leave with nothing. Id throw everything I had to the T Party, even when I had nothing else to give. I found friends who loved the escape as much as I did, and comrades who enjoyed the euphoria of our whimsical performances. It was amazing. It has always been amazing. I love being in Wonderland, but just as I had to bid farewell to the Grid, now I must bid farewell to this beloved world. Its admittedly hard, but I wont let it go to waste. This is the last week of T, and I have only 3 days to show Wonderland how much I will always love it, no matter what manifestation it takes.
