I was 39 years old ( 5 years ago) before I got involved with politics. The experience has genuinely been full of interesting surprises and revelations. Its been a genuine pleasure to realise how many people you can genuinely help in this role but what has really disgusted me is just how corrupt and and immoral our political system is and how many politicians genuinely have no principles beliefs or ideals what so ever. As the political battle heats up in the run up to the most unpredictable general election in years im seeing more and more utterly deplorable behaviour. Yes I accept I was naive but I never truly understood how loathesome some of the people in the political sphere were before I got this far down the road. With every new revelation I get more determined to make my stand and I hope there are enough people out there with good hearts and optimism for the future to stand with me against the utterly rotten state of our politics
