I was Michael Brown. Only By the grace of God that this 18 year old with baggy jeans,who stole blunts and threw up gang signs; based off of what the media exposed, that it was not me lying there bleeding in the streets. I know what the kid did . He stole a pack of blunts, a pack of blunts, APACK OF BLUNTS. Why didnt this situation end up with a phone call to his mom saying that he was arrested for shoplifting. Was it because of somebody elses hate (like officer Darren Wilson)? Wouldnt that have been tragic enough to say that you got arrested for something as minor as a pack of blunts?Yes the act of stealing was wrong . But I never imagined it would be enough to get killed over with all the other options that the officer had at that time. All the stuff I went through when I was younger (thank you Jesus Im still here). NO rules set by society fixed it. I was getting into fights almost every other day at school. No rules at the school fix it. I got suspended every couple of weeks. And youre talking about how great Washington was. Are you serious? At Cal U of Pennsylvania professor Grimes mention the words to me if I would call you A n***** head in class how would that make you feel? Yes he was relating to a book but are you serious when I was the only black in there. I made mention of it to the school board and was written an apology. But where were you decent whites to defend me. You think im Talking about the ignorance of just one person and want me to accept it as a learning experience . When I spoke to the lawyer said I didnt have a case. Marlina Crawford. You might have grown up around me but you were still far from me. Have you ever come to my rescue or somebody else in the same predicament as me? THE PROBLEM IS NOT THAT IM BLACK OR SPEAKING WITH AN ANGRY TONE. THE PROBLEM IS NOT VIOLENCE THE PROBLEM IS A LACK OF RESPECT AND INSENSITIVITY TOWARDS OTHERS If you were black ,would you want put out of a restaurant? If you were black would you want to shake hands with people trying to turn back the clock when your ancestors were killed by theirs. If you was a product of rape would it be excused in your life or how would you feel ? If you are really about peace white, black ,or any other color would you march, defend ,Or speak up for somebody like Michael Brown. If your kids stole some blunts is it okay if they get shot in the head for running? What happened to calling for backup a gun 35 feet away and youre worried about your safety . Theres a difference between murder and premeditated murder. Well premeditated murder is when you have a second to make a choice and you decided not to do the rational thing . If we wrestle with my gun and I shoot you ,Im gone. If we see a thief in our house with our children and they turn to run out the door and you shoot them in their back or they freeze when you pulled a weapon,you can not shoot them.Criminals have rights too.
