I was a BJP supporter when in school, as soon as they formed, post the Janata party experiment. And if you know what it means to be a BJP supporter in Calcutta {Kolkatta}, in the 80s and 90s... at the height of the leftist age... this was a conviction I learned from reading Aurobindo, meeting Swami Chinmayananda many times, who after all founded the VHP. It is not a recent calculated move or a sudden discovery of past love, unlike some people with more regard for their entrenched comfort than intellectual integrity. I was with them before I could vote, when my vote meant nothing, when they had two seats in the Lok Sabha, 22 times less than the current Congress tally. I was also the only BJP supporter I know who loudly said that the India Shining campaign was a blunder of enormous scale. I am not blind in my support, my posts here show that I take them to task at least twice a month, I did so even today for Gods sake! But... I wont pretend either that I am not enjoying this. I intend to do so for the next 15 years also. Yes I called it, that is my projection, and unlike some of the cowards who were trolling me for months before the election, if I am proved wrong on this I will accept it! The time is 5 and 10 years from now... so at each time I will either acknowledge I was wrong in my projections or say I told you so! I will be a BJP man till I die so get used to it.
