I was a bit downhearted briefly, last night, re car situation. But today the Universe has been saying loud and clear (via some lovely two-legged expressions of itself), Dont worry, you always get looked after. I posted on the Murwillumbah Buy, Sell, Swap site, as suggested, and a kind lady was strongly moved to offer help with lifts if needed. She was someone I didnt know before, but turned out we have all sorts of connections and a new friendship has begun. She drove me to my garage, I cleared all my stuff out of my car, she brought me back home and I dumped the stuff, then she took me back to phone the wrecker, saying to please call if I needed help to get to the RTA later. But the wrecker drove me there, it was an easy walk back to town, and on the way I dropped in on a friend who was being visited right then by a car dealer. No he had nothing for me, but did have excellent advice as to what to look for and how to approach it. In town I cadged a coffee from my friend Ainslie Rose at Sauce Studio, and she wants to see a movie I was planning to see Friday night; so I am still planning it as she offered me a ride. Went and saw the vet about Levis monthly arthritis injections. One of the vets nurses lives in my street, and one of the vets goes past on the way home, so someone will make a house call for that purpose as long as Im carless. (For emergencies, itll be taxis or neighbours. I have good neighbours!) On to NRMA, to arrange refund of insurance I wont be using after all; and they said theres a way to keep my Gold membership for very small fee, until (if) I replace my car. Went to Coles to pick up a few things before getting bus home. Lady at checkout queue behind me got chatting; we really liked each others energy, found we had much in common, I realised I had heard of her ... turned out she was going past my home on the way to hers so I got a lift, and another new friendship has begun. Each of us had planned to do another errand before going to Coles but somehow found ourselves doing Coles first instead - to meet up at the checkout. I love the way the Universe works.
