I was about to go to bed, after staying up to finish an article that was due. I heard on Pandora the song that I always play during my jog-time prayers under the Coronado bridge. So I sat on my couch, closed my eyes, and thought of those suffering tonight -- suffering from depression, suicidal thoughts, mental illness, substance abuse, thoughts of not being enough or not mattering. I thought of those who love those who are suffering. I just prayed and settled into the images of those tall columns rising from the San Diego bay. And now, as I go upstairs, Ill continue holding these people, these precious people, in my heart and mind and prayers. Good night.
