I was an Airtel customer for more than 6 years and had to shift my network because Airtel stopped 3G services in Kolkata. I opted for Reliance because of their good 3G plans and relatively cheaper calling rates. I was in for a rude shock. The tall claims that they make in their adveritsments with Anushka and Rannvijay? All a crapload of bullshit. The network is pathetic, I cannot sit in my bedroom and talk, I cannot move around and talk and the Internet? Oh hohoho. Mashallah! Airtel 2G was faster, better and more consistent. There are frequent network registration issues and I can NEVER seem to get through the customer care numbers. The executives are rude and ill mannered and not at helpful. Then to top it, they have the audacity to send an sms after the call (if I manage to get through), asking me if X was helpful. There is no network on the highway. There is no network in my room in burdwan. I was alone, in an airport, for the first time in my life wanting to call someone cause there was a Telengana Bandh outside..I had a phone in hand but a shitty network that was of no use, so I had to run around searching for a phone booth or a person willing to help me. Consumer court would have been my way to go to, but that would entail changing my number which I am not willing to do. This is extremely poor service by a man who claims to want to serve the country. Well, Mr. Ambani, cheating customers is how you got rich and thats just a shame. Big Fat Shame. I would spit on you but even that seems a waste.
