I was an emotional wreck on Sunday. Late Saturday night to Sunday morning, our youngest was vomiting repeatedly. Being physically exhausted from staying up half the night cleaning and washing clothes and sheets and recovering from surgery, I felt so helpless. Before I left with the girls for church, we all prayed for our little boy and I couldnt help but cry as I prayed. During the youth group worship service, we sang Healing Is In Your Hands and I just cried through the whole song. As I was singing through the lyrics, I thought whether I believed what I was singing. And then the bridge kicked in and I was reminded of Romans 8:31-39. The reality of Gods love and covenant faithfulness flooded through my heart and brought me tears of joy. Im thankful for songs that remind me of the Scriptures and bring me in to the very presence of God. This song wouldnt have it me hard if I didnt know and hold on to the Word of God. God is good and He is faithful! Know Him as He reveals Himself through the Word. By the way, our youngest is fine. He just had an ear infection. I dont know whats going on with me.
