I was asked about $$ donations since this is now hitting the national news. Is there a specific charity that has been set up that we could give the name to others off island who want to help ? I suggested to them the ones off the top of my head - ***PCMC*** (my first choice!), * United Way, Hawaii Catholic charities, Red Cross * (All mark for Puna lava flow), Any suggestions? After Iselle, there was a person giving out her private pay pal info and I am not sure any donations made actually went anywhere to help others. So I am trying to get names of legit charities. Does any one have a list of charities serving the Puna area specifically that could help people with the lava flow?
