I was asked recently if all of our activism makes any difference - TopicsExpress

I was asked recently if all of our activism makes any difference at all to the current state of affairs and Ive been thinking about this ever since, as possibly the best answer to that question: During the Vietnam War, A.J. Muste of the Fellowship of Reconciliation stood each night holding a candle in silent protest outside of the White House. When asked by an incredulous reporter if he thought this would really change the policy on Vietnam, Muste replied: “Oh, I don’t do this to change the country. I do this so the country won’t change me.”
