I was asked this question early this morning and was asked to share it...from a white american friend who has been observing the furore over this licks video. She said that from her observance in the US, North America and the Caribbean etc the greatest advocates of corporal punishment appears to be black communities. They vouch relentlessly for the effectiveness of beating yet when u look at these societies the greatest perpetrators of violence and deliquency, the people who most fill the jails for violent crimes are members of the said communities.
