I was asked to lend money to someone whos husband just lost his job THIS week: for groceries, electricity, water, gas, phone (and cell phones), cable, internet, credit card, and back property tax. (WHAAAAT?) I told her I was sorry but could not loan her that much. *** SHE: Well, you see this is what happened, the kids wanted to go to Disney World, and we took them not knowing Hubby was going to be laid off from work. *** Me: Property tax was due before Dec.31. ***SHE: I know, but we used the property tax money to go to Disney World. Then Thanksgiving and Christmas... (Now she is angry at me for not paying her bills.) PRIORITIES people...PRIORITIES. Ill buy groceries for the kids sake...not paying bills.
