I was asked to make a cake for Nikas first birthday, some months ago. This one has been on order for a long while. After a bit of thought, I was asked if I would made a Minnie Mouse design but please could it be a completely new design and not something I had already done. Here it is. A pretty pink and white base cake with a big black bow. Traditional Minnie Mouse spots but in pink and white on the top tier and with embossed Minnie Mouse faces in black decorating the sides of the cake. I wanted Minnie to sit on the top but in an elegant position, so I made a couple of pillows in icing and sat the finished figure on them, so she looked a little cuter. I made her in pink and white modelling paste. The inside of the cake was a technicolour rainbow sponge x
