I was asked today, whether I had ever gotten the feeling like the owners of abandoned houses in the exclusion zone had just left and were about to come back any minute. Actually, I have. Once, in a village that very obviously had been lived in until rather recently. There, I found myself turning my head time and time again, looking back over my shoulder. I would not have been one bit surprised if I had indeed suddenly spottet a ukrainian peasant behind me, severely displeased by the uncalled-for invasion of his privacy. See for yourself.
