I was at a Cracker Barrel yesterday with my dad. There were 2 younger solders that sat down beside us one was an E5 and the other was an E4. A 94 year old WW2 veteran assisted by a walker walked up to their table and thanked them for their service. Both younger solders were very respectful this national treasure. This really touched my heart that the old guard was telling the newcomers that he was proud of their service. We should always tell are present and retired military that we appreciate their service.
