I was at a work conference when I got the news that Scotty had passed away. Away from my family who needed my support. At our morning session the next day our speaker asked the audience Would you want to know if you were dying or just go? My answer was immediately, just go!! Well, he went on to talk about having been diagnosed with an incurable cancer himself 8 years ago. He has gone thru chemo and radiation and all the rest and is doing well right now. He talked about the time he has been able to spend with his kids, grandkids and wife. At the end of his speech he played this song and it made me think of Scotty and the time he was able to spend with his family, students and community to say good-bye after his diagnosis.
