I was at the Padres first 2 World Series games, the Chargers only Superbowl, I went to all the track events at the Summer Olympics in LA in 1984, Ive been to the Mountain West Conference Basketball Championship tournament the past 2 years, and I was at the World Track & Field Championships in Berlin in 2009 and saw Usain Bolt set the current World Records in the 100m & the 200m! But none of those sporting events came close to what I experienced last night. In what coach Steve Fischer said was the greatest comeback game in his career, the SDSU Mens Basketball team came back from the brink of defeat, 16 points down about 5 minutes into the second half of the game and beat the New Mexico Lobos by 3 points. After a dunk by the Lobos that made the lead 13 (I think), SDSU called timeout and the players & coaches of the Lobos were laughing at us. They never should have done that. It seemed to ignite the Show and the Aztecs. What followed was the loudest crowd noise I have EVER experienced in my life. And it just kept getting louder and louder after every Aztec steal & basket & every missed shot by the Lobos. WOW!!!!! Mountain West Champions!!!! Next stop, VEGAS and another Mountain West Basketball Tournament!!! This wild ride continues!!!
