I was at the grocery store. I filled a handbasket full of groceries. I needed to use the restroom. I put the basket down in the hallway near the bathrooms. When I returned two minutes later, the basket was gone. I asked all the employees, and the manager, but they didnt know where it went. I asked the butcher, the produce guy, the stockboy, they didnt see it. I looked all around for five minutes, to see if someone had picked up my basket by mistake, but I couldnt find it. Finally, the manager found it, on the floor in the corner near the deli, about 60 feet from the hallway. An unknown customer had walked all the way down the hallway, picked up the basket which was clearly not his, carried it to the deli, and then left it there. There is no hope for Earth. Seriously.
