I was barely a teen when my stepbrother went to nam at 18.. he left a sweet caring human... and came back at 19 as a gun-monkee (crew cheif door gunner on a huey that was strapped to a bicycle seat outside the cabin with a 50 cal) with stories of taking ears as trophies and of being shot down holding with his training as others not so trained leaped out of the shot down huey to only be cleaved in parts by the whirling bouncing copter blades.. and other not so savory rememberances.. (the part in full metal jacket when they ask the door gunner how can you shoot women and children.. and the reply is.. you dont lead them as much.. reminds me of him on his return) and a dozen record albums decrying the war which he gave to me.. and why Ive hated war ever since... youtube/watch?v=Urtiyp-G6jY
