I was blessed enough that last Christmas Eve my husband, brother - TopicsExpress

I was blessed enough that last Christmas Eve my husband, brother in law and my mother law were able to see this amazing memorial site. It was extremely moving to see the pools of water where the towers once stood, in the cool air, taking a moment to remember what freedom truly means, what it costs, and how proud I was to be an American. In a society today that I feel has become infuriatingly ridden with entitlement, I want to pay my respects and honor a very important day in our nations history. A day we were attacked by evil, attacked by those that do not believe in freedom, we stood strong, took action and showed amazing strength. To those that have lost their lives defending the soil we share, not a day goes by I dont pay my respects. To those that are willing to sacrifice their lives to make sure we are all safe, that freedom never dies, I cant express how much I love you, (especially to one man in particular near and dear to my heart), So today while so many have no idea the significance, while the media ignores this anniversary, while so many continue to run around feeling entitled and have no idea what work ethic means, I will be honoring those that served and served, remembering that freedom is never free, that freedom is precious and there is a part of the world that would extinguish it, and that being an American means something incredibly deep and meaningful. 9/11 we will never forget.
