I was blessed to receive this on my newsfeed, so i will share the blessing with all my friends....it came at just the right time for me, maybe it will for you too. Father, Some days, when we come to you, we just have heavy hearts. We see all who are suffering around us and we know we are helpless to do anything to ease their pain or to help their situations. Sometimes, we see all that is wrong in the world…people that are evil, cruel, hurtful or dishonest…and we are reminded that we live in a sinful world. On these hard days Lord, we think of one of the shortest sentences in the Bible, which simply said, “Jesus wept”. Lord, you know what it is like to weep. Surely, your heart must grieve every day over the sin, hurt, pain and suffering that exists here. On the tough days, Lord, what a comfort it is to know, that better things await us. Lord, for everyone that is having a hard time today… for whatever reason,we ask that you would just envelop them with your Holy Spirit and your loving embrace. May they feel a heavenly cocoon of warmth and love surround them. May they picture you cradling them, hugging them and reassuring them, that everything will be okay. Lord, sometimes, we just have to let the dam burst and let the tears fall and flush the hurts from our system. Perhaps you allow these times, Lord, just so we can fall into your arms and know that you are The One, that catches us when we fall …you are The One, that holds us up when we are weak and you are The One, that carries us when we are just too bruised and battle weary to even move. Lord, help us to make the time to rest at your feet. In the stillness and in solitude of this prayer time, may we be ministered to by you. Help us to envision a safe place where we can go to be surrounded by your warmth, joy, peace and love. Lord, please, refresh us. Please give us relief from the battles of life. Please, gather to yourself, all that are worn down from constant pain and illness. Lord, you promise to give rest to the weary and so we are claiming that promise today. We thank you for your compassion, love and mercy for us, Lord….we would be so lost and hopeless without you! In the name of Jesus we ask all these things Amen
