I was bored again so; I strung these few lines together. Title. A walk on the bay. I stepped out for a walk early yesterday My old legs took me to wander Stokes bay In the corner of my eye, a sly fox did prowl Then I heard the distant hoot of an owl I saw three fishermen their lines in the sea Hoping to catch something tasty for tea Stanley Park trees stood majestic and tall Rustling in the breeze, I admired them all The Cabin was open with coffee in the pot I had some breakfast, it was yummy and hot Waves were quite calm as the seagulls flew Eyeing up scraps on which they could swoop Passing golf to the left, Pebbles on the right On past the lifeboat that helps to save lives The sea air felt clean and good to breathe in With the sun on my face, warming my skin The old fort at Gilkicker I did finally reach And sat for a rest on a stump by the beach Watching the sea sparkle in morning sunlight I saw a ferry returning from the Isle of Wight Whilst walking along Jellicoe into Vectis road I began thinking what a wonderful stroll On into Western and then down Gomer lane I found myself back to where I started again.
