I was born and raised in Holyoke, Ma. Its safe to say that hockey has always been in my blood. At the age of 15, I accepted a verbal commitment to play at Boston College. Soon after, I moved away from home at the age of 15 to Ann Arbor, MI, and played for the United Stated National Development program as an under ager. For the next 2 years, I represented the U.S.A. Under 17s and Under 18s, playing in tournaments all over the world. I attended Boston College at the age of 17 and won the Hockey East Finals, and unfortunately, lost in the NCAA Frozen Four. After my freshman year at Boston College, I entered the N.H.L. Draft and was picked up in the 2nd round, 46th overall, to the Columbus Blue Jackets. For the next 2 season I played in the Q.M.J.H.L for the Moncton Wildcats, under the current head coach for the Buffalo Sabers, Ted Nolan. The Wildcats and I, won the Q.M.J.H.L championship and lost in the finals of the Memorial Cup. During that season, I was elected to represent Team U.S.A., once again, at the World Under 20s. I graciously played with many current NHL players, including my line mates during the tournament, Phil Kessel and Ryan Callahan. Unfortunately we lost in the semi-finals to Russia, who featured Alex Ovechkin and Evengeni Malkin. At the age of 19, I signed my first N.H.L. contract with the Columbus Blue Jackets. Over my first 3 years playing Pro Hockey with the (AHL affiliate Syracuse Crunch,) Columbus Blue Jackets and the (AHL affiliate Rockford Ice Hogs,) Chicago Blackhawks, I played against and with some of the best players in the world today. After my time in Rockford, I played 2 season with the Czech Elite league, going on to win another championship. I had the amazing opportunity to play with NHL stars such as Dominik Hasek, Peter Nedved, Peter Sykora, Francis Kaberle to name a few. Over the last 2 seasons, I have played in Allen Texas, Dallas Stars Affiliate and Utah Grizzlies, Anaheim Ducks affiliate. I have had the fortunate, and sometime unbelievable, experience to play professional hockey as a job. My office is the rink, and there is simply nothing better. At a young age, I went to some of the best hockey camps in Boston, MA, some of which, I have worked for. I am looking forward to bringing my knowledge of the game to the east coast of Florida. Over the last year, I have had the great opportunity to teach many children and help them improve all aspects of their game. My amazing wife and I call our home New Smyrna Beach, where we live during the off season from hockey. This upcoming summer (2014,) I will be running multiple camps to help children improve in their skating, stick handling, shooting and knowledge of the hockey. I have been taught by some of the best coaches over my 24 years of playing hockey and 10 years playing professional hockey. My passion for the game will show from the moment we step on the ice. My goal is for each individual to improve during my camps, learn and have fun. ~~~~~Dates, times and location will be finalized soon. Anyone who is interested in attending the great camps that will be held this summer between Kississimme and Jax please inbox me, so I can add you to our email list~~~~ I am looking forward to the opportunity to teach your son or daughter the proper techniques and to excel in the sport of hockey!
