I was born in the last year of the war, in Egypt, to an Italian - TopicsExpress

I was born in the last year of the war, in Egypt, to an Italian mother and a British father who was in the RAF. I just avoided being a baby boomer..... I was a tad too early. My mother was an absolute star. Of course seriously misunderstood in the post war years. My generation are knocking on now, and I think well, we did not have much but we were the children of the early 50s, the world was recovering and had faith, we could move freely without being accosted, murdered or the like. There was a level of ethics that was unbeatable. What a fabulous time to grow up, no material goods but such integrity. I am so grateful that I was born into this time and I give thanks. Many lessons learnt and obviously meant to be. All happens as it must but I am grateful for the grace of time.
