I was brief because there was an emphasis on time. So Id like to add a few things. I want to thank my early coaches Bill Coleman, Vincent Gillespie for providing me with a foundation for the game of baseball. I want to thank Lou Harvey for the example he set everyday and the comfort and confidence he has had in me even to this day. I want to thank Tom Ackerman for showing me the baseball that I needed to know to excel beyond high school and always being a resource and helping me get into college. I have several teammates and coaches through college and semi pro on my friends list. Too many to list but I appreciate you all. Thanks to everyone who has been to a game supporting me. Thanks to my family who has sacrificed spring and summer every year for the past 30, because of my commitment to the sport. There were many days of studying, weigh room, conditioning and hitting off the Tee that I reflect on and it makes me feel great to know that hard work has been acknowledged by such a prestigious honor. I never played for the Hall of fame. Didnt even know it was an option. I played because I loved it and it was my sanctuary of peace and invincibility. I now try to pour into the youth of Benton Harbor and ensure that theyre receiving what comes with this game, the right way. Ive heard that Ive come off strong with my baseball acumen. Ive rubbed some people the wrong way with my confidence in what I have to offer our children. Im also very protective of my program, because Benton Harbor Baseball to me is like a family member. I just thank God for placing me in this sport, putting me around those who have helped me, and now having the opportunity to reciprocate. Thanks to you all. #Tae
