I was challenged by Jason Lane to name 10 songs that have meant - TopicsExpress

I was challenged by Jason Lane to name 10 songs that have meant something to me at one point in my life...Id say that all of these still hold some meaning and significance to me today because of the memories associated with them... My ten songs, in no particular order: 1. Testament of Freedom - Randall Thompson (performed with Phi Mu Alpha and the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra as part of our 1997 National Convention in Cincinnati) 2. Ave Maria - Franz Biebl (performed with Phi Mu Alpha in Nashville for Convocation) 3. Die Mit Tränen Säen - Johann Hermann Schein (performed with the Western Kentucky University Choir on our European Choir Tour) 4. Carmina Burana - Carl Orff (because I discovered that several other of my non-Music major friends also really love it as much as I do and we bonded because of it, and our love of Classical Music in general) 5. Roxanne - The Police (performed with friends at a karaoke night in Denmark...Noooooo, we hadnt been drinking at all...) 6. Light My Fire - The Doors (The Doors movie was big in Denmark when I was there, and this song got played a lot, and it always reminds me of my time there) 7. Bizarre Love Triangle/Fish Heads - New Order/Barnes & Barnes (Walnut Hills Class of 91 Peanuts production - Horses Dance Number) 8. Mandinka - Sinead OConnor (prompted me to sneak out and buy the album behind my parents back, first time I ever did something like that and with that purchase, the rebellious teenage years began) 9. The Moldau - Bedrich Smetana (Music Appreciation Class study group memories...So sorry, Dr. Pounds about busting out laughing during the final exam when this song was played during the Drop the Needle section of the final exam...So, so sorry...) 10. Mony Mony - Billy Idol (because even after all these years, I cant help but sing the dirty lyrics whenever I hear this song, and it takes me back to some great memories with friends) Oh yeah, I am supposed to challenge ten people to do this too...Sooooo, I challenge Wendy Bledsoe-Payne, Lisa Dabrowski Cadkin, Erich Johnson, Ryan Mitchell, Aaron Eckhardt, Bryan Flameon Pittard, John Brian Heath, Aaron Cunningham, Aaron Witten, Christopher Francis and Adrion Liles...Yall can thank me later...
