I was cleaning through a box of my teaching materials. The ruler was given to me from Mrs. Van Buskirk (spelling may be off) 3rd grade teacher from Westside Elementary. She gave it to me as my mentor at Frayser Baptist Schools. I taught 3rd grade at FBS for several years. Mrs. Van was a hoot. This was 35 years ago and she had used it in her classroom. Guess it is an antique. She probably had used this on somebodys behind. Back then we were taken to the cloak room or out in the hall; we got one at home too. If you dont know what one means ask someone over 60 they can explain possibly from experience.
