I was contacted on Model Mayhem for a chance to compete in a Body - TopicsExpress

I was contacted on Model Mayhem for a chance to compete in a Body Paint Contest at an erotic art show in San Francisco, on Valentines Day, for the chance to win a $100. Its insulting to me that the only thing people want body paint for these days is for competitions. At conventions it is expected and that is okay - but outside the convention market,... give me a break!!! How about people PAY US for our body paint talents. Body painters out there, I hope none of you enter contests like these. Stand up for your self respect as an artist and know you are worth more than a chance to win only $100. If you are doing free body painting for events where the producers are making money at these days.. here are two words for you... YOU SUCK!!! No excuses about exposure. Grow up! Body Painters today... you are full of amazing talent and if you are doing work for free, you are doing yourself, and the industry a HUGE disservice. Shame on the organizers for asking for free work, and shame on you for doing it (if you are that is). Here was my response to the event producers... Wow. This is pretty insulting. First, that you are suggesting body painters compete for prestige on Valentines Day of all days... and for a whopping $100. You are a problem to the body paint industry, because basically you want free entertainment. Please dont contact me again unless you step up your professionalism. Pashur
