I was deeply honored and extremely humbled to attend the memorial service honoring the sacrifice of my constituents Sgt. Thomas J. Strickland, HHT, 1-108 Armor who was killed on August 15th, 2005 at the age of 27 in Al Mahmudiyah, Iraq. And, SPC Joshua P. Dingler HHT, 1-108 Armor who was killed on August 15th, 2005 at the age of 19 in Al Mahmudiyah. The ceremony took place at the Clay National Guard Center at Dobbins Air Force Base in Marietta, where the Freedom Calls Memorial Foundation recognized the service and sacrifice of 42 of the Georgia National Guards fallen heroes. I pray for the peace of their families and stand alongside them in honor of their sacrifice. God Bless these brave men and women. Attending the ceremony with me was Rep. Jason Spencer (who drove up from Woodbine, GA), and The Adjutant General of the Georgia National Guard Maj. Gen. Jim Butterworth.
