I was delighted to host the Fishing Families of Hastings exhibition yesterday in Parliament and to have the Fisheries Minister, George Eustice MP there as well. Its always a pleasure to celebrate the fantastic work of our fisherman and the cultural and historic legacy they have in Hastings. Living in Hastings Old Town I see on a regular basis the atmosphere and vibrancy that the fishing community brings to our town, from the early morning trawling sessions to the variety of produce available at the Rock-a-Nore fish mongers. This was a fantastic exhibition of the work of John Cole who has spent time with the local fishing community capturing the spirit and dedication they show to their work and livelihood.
