I was desperately sorry to hear about two new bedroom tax cases in Thornaby today. One was a mum who is also now expected to feed her two girls on £24 hardship fund after losing all her benefits for not applying for enough jobs despite being on a compulsory training scheme 4 days a week. She became liable for the bedroom tax two weeks ago when her eldest child moved out. And a dad with 50% shared care for his son but the state wont let him have his own bedroom. I have offered my help and support but the only long term option for both families (living next door to each other) is for a Labour Government to scrap it in 2015.
