I was devastated to hear the news of Stuart Scotts passing last night. I cant even count the times I pretended I was Stuart Scott when I was little calling fake highlights. His originality on TV is not only an inspiration to me, or even sportscasters, but any sports fans who grew up watching him make sports and life more fun, and that much cooler. I asked Vince Carter about Scott this morning and he told me always looked forward to what Stuart was going to say next about one of his plays. Thats impact. Beyond sports, he clearly made an impact with his courage fighting cancer, making him meaningful to a whole different group of people. I was lucky enough to have the time to do a tribute to him on-air last night. Its nothing compared to those of his ESPN colleagues, which I strongly suggest you watch, but its the least I could do for a hero of mine.
