I was disgusted when NYC banned super sizing of drinks and high calorie foods. Do I need the govt telling me what to eat??? Ok, if I were on food stamps and my choices were restricted, I could understand it. What is the goal? I already feel the pinch of the constant taxes TAKEN from our checks and given to someone with less. I have less and less to give to charitable causes as the govt. increasingly positions itself as the benevolent parent to all. (I have great compassion for the vets and disabled who do need help)...my problem is the govt not only redistributing the wealth---but the new role as our parent! I had parents when I needed them...who else feels this way?
